Moisture: Average to wet soil, tolerates borderline-dry soil  

Bloom Time in RI: July - October

Ecological Significance/Pollinators: Great pollination source for native bumblebees, as well as birds and hummingbirds  

Spreading Habit: Height 2-3', Spread 1-1.5';

Seed Provence: Original ecotype collected in Clermont, NY. Grown out at The Hickories, Ridgefield, CT.

Habitat: Marshes, meadows and fields, shores of rivers or lakes, swamps, (Wetland margins FACW)
