Botanizing Hangs
A casual meet-up for people who are passionate or have a budding interest in the plant world. This is a time to geek out & spend time with one another outside. All levels of plant/ecology experience are welcome!

Plant Community provides reference books and will send over some historical tid-bits before the walk as well as the trail/parking/accessibility information. All you have to do is bring water, snacks and whatever you enjoy using for observing plants. Hand lens, notebook, drawing tools, this part is up to you!

These walks/hikes are all-ages.

Wilbur Woods
Walk & Cook-Out
Sunday, April 19th

Wilbur Woods is an easy leveled out trail around a brook with fire pits and open areas for gathering. We thought we'd do our Botanizing Hang Kick-Off here to celebrate spring and share some grilled food together! Bring stuff to throw on the fire and we'll walk around keying out and drawing plants.
Great Swamp Management Area

ITS VAST! Land full of wetlands, ferns, mossy rocks, and coyotes. A quiet spot with very little human traffic and a great spot for water loving / bog enthusiasts. We'll have our bud Tim who focuses on wetland ecology on this walk who is a bit more familiar with this location.
